Hi all,

Just a quickie (whilst I am at work) to let you know that Healthcare at Home have called and my drugs are being delivered to me next Tuesday (11th). Have to wait for nurse to then contact me, they won't organise this until drugs are deliveredSad

speak later Nina xx

Oh Nina - so pleased you've got a date - it's such good news and I'm sure it will help.

My mtx was delivered today and I'm expecting the nurse anytime. I'll let you know how it goes - I have to confess to being a bit apprehensive about doing the injections!

Lots of love

Hi Nina,

That's great news.
Going by my experience of Healthcare at Home, I'm sure the nurse will contact you as soon as the drugs are delivered so you won't have to wait long for your first injection.
Good luck!

That`s really good news, Nina. Like others have said, I`m very pleased with Healthcare at Home. When I had my first delivery, the nurse came about two days later - and she turned out to have been a former pupil of mine!

Really hope it works for you,

Kathleen x

Crikey! I too think Healthcare at home are excellent BUT I didn't get a nurse or anyone for that matter. Just an instruction leaflet Sad Oh well, it was in the very early days of biologic treatment, I guess things have improved for the better!

Hope it all goes well Nina, do keep us posted Smile

Hi all just an update, sorry I haven't been in touch with for a few days.

Drugs arrived Tuesday pm, saw the nurse Wednesday pm and self administered first dose on Wednesday pm.

Felt a bit nauseous Wednesday pm and had a strange taste in my mouth for the entire evening. But other than that no side effects so far.

So lets hope it all goes well.

Thanks all for your kind words and support.

Nina xxx

Hi Nina

That first injection is always the worse ... it's like a piece of cake after 7 years, I miss it when I have to stop Confused

That's great news Nina. Hope things continue to go well and you get excellent results Smile

I'm glad it went well Nina - I understand your reservations - I'm hoping to start Humira in the next few weeks - we can compare notes!. I hope it starts to work soon. Take care.

Glad you've got started on it Nina.
I get a strange taste about 10 minutes after the injection, it only lasts about 10 minutes though.
Hope it works well for you.

Love, Doreen xx

Really glad it went so well, Nina. I felt a bit sick after my first injection, but it was probably the stress of having to do it first time. Take care

Hi Nina
I have just started Humira self inject & I can't believe the difference i am feeling. I had the injection wed lunchtime and I can't feel any stiffness or pain in my hands it feels so strange to not wake without the pain. still feeling tired and slight twinges in ankle & knee but nothing like I'm used too. Is this where my life begins again. Really hope so after feeling quite bleak for a long time now. Hope you are feeling good too.

ooh Nina, how exciting and anxious all at the same time!!
I'm a few months into Humra now and can say it has turned my life around, although I still have lots of problems, pain, flares etc just so I don't feel complacent!! I'm beginning to relax about it now, although still aware it could change anytime.

I do hope it suits you and you quickly feel the benefits - I'm a complete convert and think it is wonderful!!

all the best
Alison xx
